  • Retrograde ejaculation
  • Urethral stricture
  • Transurethral resection (TUR) syndrome
  • Damage to internal organs and structures

A procedure used to treat benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).

How is the procedure done?[edit | edit source]

An instrument is inserted through the urethra and one or two small cuts are made in the bladder neck and prostate.

Purpose[edit | edit source]

This relieves pressure and improves urine flow.

Also called TUIP.
