Universidad de Oriente (UDO) is a prominent public university located in the eastern part of Venezuela. It was established on November 21, 1958, by decree of the Venezuelan government. The university was created to promote higher education in the eastern regions of the country, aiming to decentralize academic offerings and facilitate access to higher education for residents outside the capital city. Over the years, Universidad de Oriente has grown to become one of the leading institutions for higher education in Venezuela, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various fields of study.
