WakeMed Health & Hospitals is a private, not-for-profit health care system based in Raleigh, North Carolina. It operates a network of health care facilities throughout the Research Triangle area, including hospitals, outpatient centers, and physician practices.

WakeMed was founded in 1961 as Wake Memorial Hospital. Over the years, it has expanded its services and facilities to meet the growing needs of the community. The health system was rebranded as WakeMed Health & Hospitals to reflect its broader range of services and regional presence.
