World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists
The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is a global organization that represents and supports the practice of anaesthesiology worldwide. It is dedicated to improving patient care and safety by promoting the highest standards of anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, pain management, and critical care.

The WFSA was founded in 1955 during the first World Congress of Anaesthesiologists held in Scheveningen, Netherlands. Since its inception, the WFSA has grown to include over 135 member societies, representing hundreds of thousands of anaesthesiologists worldwide.
