Zeolites are a group of minerals that are microporous, meaning they have tiny pores that allow them to act as molecular sieves. These minerals are aluminosilicates, consisting of aluminum, silicon, and oxygen, with cations such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium occupying the pores.
