4'-Fluoro-α-pyrrolidinopentiophenone (also known as 4F-PVP) is a stimulant drug of the cathinone and pyrrolidine chemical classes. It is chemically related to pyrovalerone, a drug with similar but not identical effects.

4'-Fluoro-α-pyrrolidinopentiophenone is a synthetic cathinone. Synthetic cathinones are derivatives of the naturally occurring amphetamine-like compound cathinone, which is found in the khat plant. 4F-PVP contains a fluorine atom at the 4' position in the phenyl ring.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

The pharmacology of 4'-Fluoro-α-pyrrolidinopentiophenone is largely unknown, as scientific studies on this substance are scarce. However, it is known to act as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI). This means it increases the levels of the norepinephrine and dopamine neurotransmitters in the brain by inhibiting their reuptake into neurons.
