Andrea Hayes-Jordan
Andrea Hayes-Jordan is a renowned surgeon and scientist known for her significant contributions to the field of pediatric oncology. She is recognized for her pioneering work in the development and implementation of a novel surgical procedure known as Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for children suffering from rare forms of abdominal cancer.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Hayes-Jordan was born and raised in New York City. She completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, where she majored in Biochemistry. She then pursued her medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
