Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI), established in 1955, is a premier medical education institution located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is an autonomous institution under the Government of Karnataka, affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The institute was inaugurated in 1955 by the then Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri. B.D. Jatti. It started with a modest intake of 50 students, aiming to provide quality medical education and cater to the health care needs of Karnataka. Over the years, BMCRI has evolved into a prestigious center for medical education and research, increasing its intake to more than 250 undergraduate students per year.
