Chelsea Victoria Clinton (born February 27, 1980) is an American writer and global health advocate. She is the only child of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Chelsea has worked in various capacities in the fields of global health, education, and philanthropy.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Chelsea Clinton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, during her father's first term as governor. She attended public schools in Little Rock until her father was elected President of the United States in 1992. The family then moved to the White House in Washington, D.C., where Chelsea attended the private Sidwell Friends School.
Clinton graduated from Stanford University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. She later earned a Master of Philosophy in international relations from University College, Oxford in 2003. She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in international relations from the University of Oxford.
