Emergency response team
- The personnel from the Department, or from a local, State, or other Federal department or agency, trained to perform a specific task during a particular phase of emergency response. Within the Department, an emergency response team consists of an Incident Commander (IC) and the emergency response staff. Also called ERT. emergency services- (i) a medical screening examination that is within the capability of the emergency department of a hospital, including ancillary services routinely available to the emergency department to evaluate such emergency medical condition, and (ii) within the capabilities of the staff and facilities available at the hospital, such further medical examination and treatment as are required to stabilize the patient.
