Frederick Chapman Robbins (August 25, 1916 – August 4, 2003) was an eminent American pediatrician and virologist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1954, sharing it with John Franklin Enders and Thomas Huckle Weller for their discovery of the ability to grow the poliovirus in cultures of various types of tissue.
