Greensville County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 11,139. Its county seat is Emporia, which is also an independent city that is not part of the county but serves as its administrative center.

Greensville County was established in 1781 from Brunswick County. The county was named for Sir Richard Grenville, leader of the Roanoke Colony and an important figure in the early history of Virginia.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 297 square miles (770 km²), of which 295 square miles (764 km²) is land and 2.2 square miles (5.7 km²) (0.7%) is water.

The county is governed by a Board of Supervisors, which is responsible for setting policy and overseeing the county's operations. The county also has a Sheriff's Office, which provides law enforcement services.
