Joseph Sung Jao-yiu (born 22 October 1959) is a prominent Hong Kong gastroenterologist and academic. He is best known for his research and leadership during the SARS outbreak in 2003.

Joseph Sung was born in Hong Kong in 1959. He completed his undergraduate medical education at the University of Hong Kong. He later pursued further studies and obtained his PhD from the University of Calgary in Canada.
