List of governors of Washington

The Governor of Washington is the head of the executive branch of the government of the U.S. state of Washington and the commander-in-chief of the state's military forces. The governor has a duty to enforce state laws, the power to either approve or veto bills passed by the Washington State Legislature, and the power to convene the legislature. The governor may grant pardons except in cases of impeachment.

Before Washington became a state, it was part of the Washington Territory. The territory was established on March 2, 1853, from the portion of the Oregon Territory north of the Columbia River and west of the Rocky Mountains. The following is a list of territorial governors:
