MedStar Washington Hospital Center
MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a non-profit, tertiary, teaching hospital located in Washington, D.C., United States. It is the largest private hospital in the nation's capital and among the 50 largest hospitals in the nation. Founded in 1958, the Hospital Center's services include cardiology, oncology, neuroscience, orthopedics, and women's health.

MedStar Washington Hospital Center was established in 1958 when three specialty hospitals merged to form a single, comprehensive medical center. The original hospitals were Garfield Hospital, founded in 1882; Central Dispensary and Emergency Hospital, founded in 1873; and Episcopal Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, founded in 1887.

MedStar Washington Hospital Center offers a comprehensive range of medical services. These include:
- Cardiology: The Hospital Center's Heart & Vascular Institute is a national leader in heart care and research.
- Oncology: The Washington Cancer Institute at the Hospital Center provides comprehensive cancer care and is the District's largest cancer care provider.
- Neuroscience: The Hospital Center's neuroscience program offers a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical treatment options for neurological conditions.
- Orthopedics: The Hospital Center's orthopedic specialists provide comprehensive care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions.
- Women's Health: The Hospital Center offers comprehensive women's health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and breast care.

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a part of MedStar Health, a non-profit healthcare organization that operates more than 120 entities, including ten hospitals in the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area.
