Methandriol propionate

Methandriol propionate is a synthetic and injectable anabolic steroid that is used in the treatment of hypogonadism and delayed puberty in males, and breast cancer in females. It is a propionate ester of methandriol.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

Methandriol propionate is a prodrug of methandriol. It is administered via intramuscular injection. After administration, it is converted into methandriol in the body.

Medical uses[edit | edit source]

Methandriol propionate is used in the treatment of hypogonadism and delayed puberty in males, and breast cancer in females. It is also used in the treatment of osteoporosis.

Side effects[edit | edit source]

The side effects of methandriol propionate include virilization in females, gynecomastia in males, and liver damage. It can also cause acne, hair loss, and prostate enlargement.
