Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is a general hospital located in Lakewood, New Jersey, United States. It serves parts of northern Ocean County and southern Monmouth County. The hospital is affiliated with RWJBarnabas Health. Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus was previously known as Kimball Medical Center and Paul Kimball Hospital. It was founded in 1913 and has 350 beds. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and NJPRO. It offers emergency services and is supported by Medicare, Medicaid, charity care, and commercial insurance. Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus operates two satellite facilities: Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center in Toms River, NJ, and The Center for Healthy Living in Lakewood. Throughout its history, the hospital has undergone several expansions and improvements to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. In 2014, it merged with Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
