Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) is a prominent medical institution and hospital located in Patna, the capital city of the Bihar state in India. Established in 1970, NMCH is one of the leading medical colleges in the region, offering a wide range of medical education programs and providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community.

The establishment of Nalanda Medical College And Hospital dates back to 1970. It was initially started as a private medical institution by Dr. Vijay Narayain Singh, Dr. Madhusudan Das, and Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha. However, in 1978, the Government of Bihar took over the administration of NMCH, transforming it into a public institution.

The campus of NMCH spans over an area of approximately 100 acres. It houses several buildings including the main medical college, hospital, hostel facilities for students, and staff quarters. The campus also features a well-equipped library with a vast collection of medical books and journals.

The college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The undergraduate course offered is Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), while the postgraduate courses include Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) in various specialties.
