The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) is a premier nutrition research institute located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is one of the oldest research centers in India, dedicated to the study of nutrition and its impact on public health. The institute operates under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The National Institute of Nutrition was established in 1918 as the "Beri-Beri Enquiry Unit" in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. It was later renamed the "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) and relocated to Hyderabad in 1958. In 1969, it was given its current name, the National Institute of Nutrition.
