National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad is a premier Indian public health, nutrition, and translational research center located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It operates under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute was established in 1918 as the 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit, housed in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. It was later moved to Hyderabad in 1958 and rechristened as the National Institute of Nutrition.
