Non-repudiation
- The recipient of signed data can use a digital signature as evidence in demonstrating to a third party that the signature was, in fact, generated by the claimed signatory. This is known as non-repudiation, since the signatory cannot easily repudiate the signature at a later time. Nonresident importer- (i) an individual who is not a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States; or (ii) a partnership, corporation, or other commercial entity that is not organized under the laws of a jurisdiction within the customs territory 640 of the United States or in the Virgin Islands of the United States.
