Northeastern Brazil is a region in Brazil that encompasses nine of the country's 26 states. This region is known for its rich culture, diverse ecosystem, and significant historical importance.

Northeastern Brazil is the third largest region in Brazil, covering an area of about 1,558,196 square kilometers. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the North Region to the west and north, and the Central-West and Southeast Regions to the south.
