Northwell Health is a non-profit health care provider based in New York, United States. It is the largest healthcare system in New York and one of the largest in the nation. Northwell Health provides a wide range of health services, including hospital care, primary care, cancer care, cardiology, neurology, and emergency services. The organization is committed to improving the health of the communities it serves through high-quality, patient-centered care, education, and research.

Northwell Health was founded in 1997 as North Shore-Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Health System when North Shore Health System and LIJ Medical Center merged. The merger was aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services across the region. In 2015, the health system was rebranded as Northwell Health to better reflect its mission and the broad geographic reach of its services.

Northwell Health operates more than 23 hospitals and 700 outpatient facilities, including the renowned North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. It also includes a full spectrum of specialty services, such as the Cohen Children’s Medical Center, one of the nation's leading pediatric hospitals, and the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, which is dedicated to the study of molecular medicine and other cutting-edge scientific areas.

The health system is affiliated with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, which was established to prepare the next generation of medical professionals.
