Petron Corporation is the largest oil refining and marketing company in the Philippines, supplying more than a third of the country's oil requirements. The company operates a refinery in Limay, Bataan, with a capacity of 180,000 barrels per day. Petron's products include gasoline, diesel, kerosene, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), industrial fuel oil, solvents, asphalt, and petrochemicals.

Petron Corporation was established in 1933 as Standard Vacuum Oil Company (Stanvac), a joint venture between Standard Oil of New Jersey and Socony-Vacuum Oil Company. In 1953, the company was renamed Esso Philippines, Inc. In 1973, the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) acquired Esso's assets and operations in the Philippines, and the company was renamed Petrophil Corporation. In 1988, Petrophil Corporation was renamed Petron Corporation.

Petron operates a refinery in Limay, Bataan, which processes crude oil into a full range of petroleum products. The refinery is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a crude distillation unit, a catalytic cracking unit, and a hydrotreater. Petron also operates a network of terminals and depots across the Philippines, ensuring a steady supply of products to its customers.
