Quảng Yên
Quảng Yên is a town and district in Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam. It is located in the northeastern region of the country, approximately 163 kilometers from Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam.

Quảng Yên has a rich history that dates back to the Lý Dynasty and Trần Dynasty. It was an important commercial port during the 11th and 12th centuries, serving as a gateway for international trade.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Quảng Yên is bordered by Hạ Long Bay to the east, Uông Bí and Hoành Bồ District to the north, Hải Hà District to the northeast, and Yên Hưng District to the south and west. The district covers an area of 314.2 square kilometers.
Economy[edit | edit source]
The economy of Quảng Yên is diverse, with key sectors including agriculture, fishery, industry, and services. The district is home to several industrial parks and economic zones, such as the Đông Mai Industrial Park and Quảng Yên Economic Zone.

Quảng Yên is known for its unique cultural heritage, with numerous traditional festivals, such as the Cửa Ông Temple Festival and Trần Dynasty worshiping ceremony. The district is also home to several historical and cultural relics, including the Cửa Ông Temple and Yên Giang Communal House.

Quảng Yên has a well-developed infrastructure system, with a network of roads, railways, and seaports. The district is served by the Hanoi–Hạ Long Highway and Yên Vien–Cai Lan Railway, providing convenient transportation links to other parts of the country.

The district has a strong focus on education, with numerous schools and educational institutions, including the Quảng Yên High School and Quảng Ninh University of Industry.
