Roxana Mehran
Roxana Mehran is an Iranian-American cardiologist and professor of medicine specializing in interventional cardiology. She is known for her contributions to the field of cardiovascular disease and her research on antithrombotic therapy, drug-eluting stents, and gender disparities in cardiovascular care.

Roxana Mehran was born in Iran and later moved to the United States to pursue her education. She earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Following her graduation, she completed her residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. She then pursued a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the same institution.

Dr. Mehran is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is also the Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Research and Clinical Trials at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute.
Her research has significantly impacted the field of interventional cardiology, particularly in the areas of antithrombotic therapy and drug-eluting stents. She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and has been a principal investigator in several landmark clinical trials.
