The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) is a national Roman Catholic private university with campuses in Fremantle, Sydney, and Broome. Established in 1989, UNDA is known for its emphasis on the provision of excellent higher education within a context that values both ethical standards and personal integrity. It is one of the few universities in Australia with a strong focus on the development of the whole person, in addition to academic excellence.

The University of Notre Dame Australia was founded through an Act of the Parliament of Western Australia in 1989, making it the first Catholic university in Australia since the establishment of the Catholic University of Ireland in 1854. The Fremantle campus was the first to open, followed by the Sydney campus in 2006, and the Broome campus, which focuses on providing education to the Indigenous communities of the Kimberley region.

UNDA has three main campuses:
- The Fremantle Campus is located in the historic port city of Fremantle, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines.
- The Sydney Campus is situated in the suburb of Broadway, near the central business district of Sydney, offering courses in fields such as Medicine, Nursing, Law, and Business.
- The Broome Campus focuses on providing higher education opportunities to the Indigenous communities of the Kimberley region, with programs in Aboriginal Studies, Nursing, and Education.

The university is particularly noted for its School of Medicine, which is one of the few in Australia to offer a direct-entry medical program for undergraduate students.
