Workout

A workout is a session in which physical exercise is performed. This can range from strength training, aerobic exercise, stretching, or a combination of these. The purpose of a workout can vary from improving fitness, losing weight, building muscle, or for sports training.

There are several types of workouts, each with their own specific goals and methods.

Strength Training[edit | edit source]

Strength training is a type of physical exercise that uses resistance to induce muscular contraction, which builds strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles.

Aerobic Exercise[edit | edit source]

Aerobic exercise is physical exercise of low to high intensity that depends primarily on the aerobic energy-generating process.

Stretching[edit | edit source]

Stretching is a form of physical exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle's felt elasticity and achieve comfortable muscle tone.

Regular workouts have numerous health benefits, including improved cardiovascular health, increased strength and flexibility, weight management, and improved mental health.
