Abz Love (born Richard Abidin Breen on 29 June 1979) is a British singer, rapper, and television personality. He is best known as a member of the boy band Five.

Abz Love was born in London, England, and grew up in Hackney. He is of Turkish Cypriot and Irish descent.

Career[edit | edit source]

Five[edit | edit source]

In 1997, Abz Love joined the boy band Five, which was formed by the same team that managed the Spice Girls. The group enjoyed significant success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with hits such as "Slam Dunk (Da Funk)", "When the Lights Go Out", and "Keep On Movin'". Five disbanded in 2001 but reunited briefly in 2006 and again in 2012.

Solo Career[edit | edit source]

After Five's initial disbandment, Abz Love pursued a solo career. He released his debut solo album, Abstract Theory, in 2003, which included the singles "What You Got" and "Stop Sign".

Television[edit | edit source]

Abz Love has also appeared on various television shows. In 2013, he participated in the eleventh series of Celebrity Big Brother, finishing in second place. He also starred in the documentary series The Big Reunion in 2013, which followed the reunion of Five and other pop groups from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Abz Love has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse. He has since focused on personal development and has been involved in various charitable activities.
