Alien Swirling Saucers
Alien Swirling Saucers is an amusement ride located at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Bay Lake, Florida. The ride is part of the larger Toy Story Land section of the park, which is themed around the popular Toy Story film franchise produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
History[edit | edit source]
Alien Swirling Saucers officially opened to the public on June 30, 2018, as part of the grand opening of Toy Story Land. The ride was designed to immerse guests in the playful and imaginative world of Toy Story, specifically drawing inspiration from the little green aliens and their flying saucers featured in the films.
Ride Experience[edit | edit source]
The ride features a unique "whip" style motion, where guests are seated in saucer-shaped vehicles that are pulled by larger alien-driven saucers. The vehicles move in a figure-eight pattern, creating a sensation of swirling and spinning. The ride is accompanied by music and sound effects from the Toy Story films, enhancing the overall experience.
Theming[edit | edit source]
The entire ride is themed around the little green aliens from the Toy Story franchise. The queue area is designed to look like a playset from the Toy Story universe, complete with oversized toys and game pieces. The ride vehicles themselves are designed to resemble the flying saucers piloted by the aliens.
