All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar) is one of the leading public medical schools in India. Established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), AIIMS Bhubaneswar is a part of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) group, aimed at correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. AIIMS Bhubaneswar, like its sister institutions, operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (India).

AIIMS Bhubaneswar was officially established in 2012, following the enactment of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012.
