The Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center was established in 1856 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, a Catholic religious congregation dedicated to providing healthcare services. The hospital was named after Saint Vincent de Paul, a French Catholic priest who dedicated his life to serving the poor.
