Dural ectasia is a medical condition characterized by the abnormal expansion or widening of the dural sac, which is the protective covering surrounding the spinal cord and nerve roots. This condition primarily affects the lower spine, particularly the lumbar region, but can also occur in the thoracic and sacral regions.
