Heather Hendrickson is a microbiologist and academic known for her research in bacteriophage therapy and antibiotic resistance. She is an Associate Professor at Massey University in New Zealand.

Heather Hendrickson was born in Canada. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology at the University of British Columbia. She then pursued her PhD in molecular biology at the University of Pittsburgh, where she focused on the evolution of bacterial genomes.

After completing her PhD, Hendrickson conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied the mechanisms of horizontal gene transfer in bacteria. She joined the faculty at Massey University in 2013, where she has continued her research on bacteriophages and antibiotic resistance.

Hendrickson's research primarily focuses on the use of bacteriophages to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Her work aims to develop alternative treatments for bacterial infections that are no longer responsive to traditional antibiotics.
