John Banzhaf
John F. Banzhaf III is an American public interest lawyer, legal activist, and law professor at George Washington University Law School. He is known for his involvement in various high-profile legal cases and his advocacy for public health and consumer rights.

John Banzhaf was born in New York City. He attended Stuyvesant High School and later graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Columbia Law School.

Banzhaf began his career as a patent attorney before transitioning into public interest law. He joined the faculty of George Washington University Law School in 1965, where he has taught courses on torts, administrative law, and public interest law.
