Nanograms

A Nanogram is a unit of mass in the SI (Systeme Internationale), the modern form of the metric system. It is equal to one billionth (1/1,000,000,000) of a gram, or 1x10^-9 grams. The symbol for nanogram is ng.

Nanograms are commonly used in scientific research, particularly in the fields of biology, chemistry, and medicine. They are often used to measure very small quantities of substances, such as DNA, proteins, and other biochemical substances.

Conversion[edit | edit source]

In the metric system, the prefix 'nano' denotes a factor of 10^-9. Therefore, one nanogram is equivalent to 0.000000001 grams. It can also be converted to other units of mass in the metric system:
