The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is a medical college and hospital located in Imphal, Manipur, India. It was established on September 14, 1972, and is affiliated with Manipur University and the National Medical Commission. The institute has a campus spread over 192 acres and is known for its 1,074-bed teaching hospital.

RIMS offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in medicine. It has an intake capacity of 125 undergraduate, 146 postgraduate degree, and 2 postgraduate diploma seats. The hospital provides services to over 2.4 lakh out-patients and admits more than 31 thousand patients annually. It is equipped with advanced facilities such as MEDLINE access, telemedicine center, regional medical library, and an advanced hospital information and management system.

The institute has a dedicated faculty of 237 members and a student population of 1,072, including 525 undergraduates, 382 postgraduates, and 165 doctoral students. The medium of instruction is English. RIMS is known for its commitment to serving humanity and follows the prescribed norms of the Medical Council of India.

The history of RIMS dates back to the inauguration of a 300-bedded General Hospital in October 1968. The foundation stone of Manipur Medical College, the first-ever medical college in Manipur, was laid in May 1972. Initially named Regional Medical College, it was later renamed North Eastern Regional Medical College and came under the management of the North Eastern Regional Medical College Society. Since August 1976, it has been run under the name Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.
