Riley Tufte
Riley Tufte (born April 10, 1998) is an American professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing as a forward for the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League (AHL). Tufte was drafted in the first round, 25th overall, by the Dallas Stars in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Riley Tufte was born in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He grew up playing hockey in Minnesota, a state known for its strong hockey culture. Tufte attended Blaine High School, where he was a standout player for the school's hockey team.
Junior Career[edit | edit source]
Tufte played for the Fargo Force in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before committing to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth. During his time with the Fargo Force, Tufte demonstrated his scoring ability and physical presence on the ice.
College Career[edit | edit source]
Tufte played for the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). He contributed significantly to the team's success, helping them win the NCAA Championship in 2018 and 2019.

After completing his college career, Tufte signed an entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars and was assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. Tufte has been developing his skills in the AHL, aiming to secure a permanent spot on the Dallas Stars' roster.
