William James Adams Jr. (born March 15, 1975), known professionally as will.i.am, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas.

Will.i.am was born in Los Angeles, California, and was raised in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. He attended Palisades Charter High School.

The Black Eyed Peas[edit | edit source]
Will.i.am formed the group The Black Eyed Peas in 1995 with apl.de.ap and Taboo. The group achieved worldwide fame with their third album, Elephunk (2003), which included the hit singles "Where Is the Love?" and "Let's Get It Started".
Solo career[edit | edit source]
Will.i.am has also had a successful solo career, releasing four solo albums: Lost Change (2001), Must B 21 (2003), Songs About Girls (2007), and #willpower (2013). His solo work includes collaborations with artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus.
