Yamini Dalal

Yamini Dalal is a distinguished biologist and research scientist known for her significant contributions to the field of chromatin biology. She is currently serving as a Senior Scientist at the National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune, India.

Yamini Dalal was born and raised in India. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Delhi, and later pursued her doctoral studies in biochemistry at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

After completing her PhD, Dalal moved to the United States for her postdoctoral research. She worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she made significant contributions to the understanding of chromatin structure and function.

Dalal's research primarily focuses on the role of chromatin in gene regulation. She has made significant contributions to the understanding of how chromatin structure influences gene expression, and how alterations in chromatin structure can lead to diseases such as cancer.
