25C-NB4OMe

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

25C-NB4OMe is a psychedelic phenethylamine and dimethoxybenzylpiperazine derivative. It is closely related to 25C-NBOMe and is part of the larger NBOMe series of compounds.

Chemistry[edit | edit source]

25C-NB4OMe is a derivative of 2C-C. The full name of the compound is 2-(4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-N-[(4-methoxybenzyl)oxy]ethanamine. It belongs to the NBOMe series, which includes other psychedelic phenethylamines such as 25I-NBOMe and 25B-NBOMe. The NBOMe series is characterized by the addition of a N-benzylmethoxy group to the phenethylamine backbone. In the case of 25C-NB4OMe, this group is a 4-methoxybenzyl group.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

Like other compounds in the NBOMe series, 25C-NB4OMe is thought to act as a potent full agonist at the 5-HT2A receptor, which is involved in the regulation of mood, anxiety, and perception. However, the exact pharmacological properties of 25C-NB4OMe are not well-studied, and its effects on the human brain and body are largely unknown.

Effects[edit | edit source]

The effects of 25C-NB4OMe are largely unknown due to the lack of scientific research. However, anecdotal reports suggest that it may produce effects similar to other psychedelic phenethylamines, including altered perception, euphoria, and hallucinations. These effects are thought to be due to its action on the 5-HT2A receptor.

Legal Status[edit | edit source]

The legal status of 25C-NB4OMe varies by country. In many countries, it is considered a controlled substance due to its potential for abuse and lack of medical use. However, in some countries, it may be legal for research purposes.
