25N-N1-Nap

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

25N-NBOMe (also known as 2C-N-NBOMe, NBOMe-2C-N, and N25X) is a novel psychedelic substance of the phenethylamine class. It is a member of the NBOMe series, a group of potent hallucinogens known for their high potency and selectivity of the 5-HT2A receptor.

Chemistry[edit | edit source]

25N-NBOMe is a derivative of the phenethylamine class. The structure of 25N-NBOMe comprises a phenethylamine core featuring a phenyl ring bound to an amino (NH2) group through an ethyl chain. It is the N-benzyl derivative of the phenethylamine molecule 2C-N, which is itself substituted at R4 of its phenyl ring with an N-(2-methoxybenzyl) group.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

25N-NBOMe's psychedelic effects are believed to come from its efficacy at the 5-HT2A receptor as a partial agonist. However, the role of these interactions and how they result in the psychedelic experience remains the subject of ongoing scientific investigation.

Effects[edit | edit source]

The effects of 25N-NBOMe can be broken down into several components which progressively intensify proportional to dosage. These include introspection, visual acuity enhancement, auditory hallucinations, and time distortion.

Toxicity and harm potential[edit | edit source]

As with all of the NBOMe series, 25N-NBOMe is potentially very dangerous and has a much lower safety margin than many other substances. It is strongly advised to use harm reduction practices if using this substance.

Legal status[edit | edit source]

The legal status of 25N-NBOMe varies by country and is a controlled substance in many places due to its potent psychedelic effects.
