Angela Alsobrooks is an American politician and attorney serving as the County Executive of Prince George's County, Maryland. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Angela Alsobrooks was born in Maryland. She attended Duke University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Early Career[edit | edit source]

Alsobrooks began her career as an Assistant State's Attorney in Prince George's County. She later served as the Executive Director of the Prince George's County Revenue Authority.

State's Attorney[edit | edit source]

In 2010, Alsobrooks was elected as the State's Attorney for Prince George's County. She was the first woman to hold this position. During her tenure, she focused on reducing crime and improving community relations.

County Executive[edit | edit source]

In 2018, Alsobrooks was elected as the County Executive of Prince George's County. She is the first woman to be elected to this position. As County Executive, she has focused on economic development, education, and public safety.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Angela Alsobrooks resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She is a single mother and has one daughter.
