Batman Beyond is a comic book series published by DC Comics. The series is a continuation of the animated television series Batman Beyond, which is set in the DC Animated Universe (DCAU). The comic book series follows the adventures of Terry McGinnis, a teenager who takes up the mantle of Batman under the guidance of an elderly Bruce Wayne.

Publication History[edit | edit source]

The Batman Beyond comic book series was first published in 1999, coinciding with the release of the animated series. The initial run of the comic was written by Hilary Bader and featured artwork by Rick Burchett. The series was initially intended to be a limited run but was extended due to its popularity.

In 2010, DC Comics launched a new Batman Beyond series as part of its DC Universe line. This series was written by Adam Beechen and illustrated by Ryan Benjamin. The new series expanded on the original animated series' storyline and introduced new characters and plotlines.
