Elaeagnus multiflora

Elaeagnus multiflora is a shrub grown in Europe and North America typically for its' fruit.

Other names

Elaeagnus multiflora is most commonly known as cherry elaegnus.

Use

The fruit grows as a round orange and as it ripens it forms brown and red spots, usually growing 3 cm long. It has a sweet but somewhat sour taste, and is very juicy once ripe. Although it is very thin and fragile, making it difficult to be transported which is why it isn't a viable food crop.
