Oriel College is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Founded in 1326 by Adam de Brome under the patronage of King Edward II, it is the fifth oldest of the university's colleges. The college has the distinction of being the oldest royal foundation in Oxford.

Oriel College was established in 1326 by Adam de Brome, who was the almoner of King Edward II. The college was originally known as the House or Hall of the Blessed Mary at Oxford. It received its royal charter in 1326, making it the oldest royal foundation in Oxford. The college's name was changed to Oriel College in 1329.
