History[edit | edit source]

The construction of Queen Elizabeth Hospital began in the late 1950s to address the growing need for medical services in Hong Kong. In addition to its clinical services, QEH is also a teaching hospital affiliated with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Challenges and Future Developments[edit | edit source]

The hospital is continuously exploring ways to improve its services and facilities, including the adoption of new technologies and the enhancement of its healthcare infrastructure.

In recent years, there have been plans for further expansion and redevelopment of QEH to meet the growing healthcare needs of the population. These developments aim to provide more comprehensive and efficient healthcare services and to strengthen the hospital's role as a leading healthcare provider in Hong Kong.
