Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) is a multinational reinsurance company based in Chesterfield, Missouri, United States. It is one of the largest life and health reinsurers in the world, with operations in approximately 40 countries.

RGA was incorporated in 1973 as a subsidiary of General American Life Insurance Company. In 1993, RGA became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "RGA".

RGA provides traditional and non-traditional reinsurance solutions to life insurance companies, offering risk management, capital management, and financial solutions. The company's services include individual life reinsurance, individual living benefits reinsurance, group reinsurance, health reinsurance, financial solutions, and longevity reinsurance.

Financial Performance[edit | edit source]

As of 2020, RGA reported total assets of $76.7 billion and net premiums of $14.3 billion. The company is ranked 271 on the 2021 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue.

Leadership[edit | edit source]

The current CEO of RGA is Anna Manning, who assumed the role in 2017. The company's board of directors includes individuals with diverse backgrounds in the insurance and financial services industries.
