Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital
Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH), established in 1966, is one of the leading medical education institutions located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. It was formerly known as Himachal Pradesh Medical College (HPMC) until it was renamed in 1984 in honor of the late Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India. The college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and has been recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine.

The foundation of Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital was laid with the aim of providing quality medical education and healthcare facilities in the northern region of India.
