Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences
Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) is a public university located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1910 by Dr. Sam Higginbottom as the Allahabad Agricultural Institute and was later upgraded to a deemed university in 2000. In 2016, it was granted the status of a full-fledged university by the Government of India.

The university was founded by Dr. Sam Higginbottom, a Christian missionary and agricultural scientist, with the aim of improving the condition of the rural poor in India through agricultural education and research. The institution initially focused on training students in modern agricultural techniques and practices.
