Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge
Sidney Sussex College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England. It was founded in 1596 under the terms of the will of Frances Sidney, Countess of Sussex, and named after its foundress. The college has a strong academic reputation and is known for its beautiful architecture and gardens.

Sidney Sussex College was established on the site of a former Franciscan friary, which had been dissolved during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. The college was founded by Frances Sidney, Countess of Sussex, who left a significant endowment in her will for the establishment of a new college. The college received its royal charter from Elizabeth I in 1596.

The college's main buildings are arranged around three courts: Chapel Court, Cloister Court, and Hall Court. The Chapel was completed in 1602 and is notable for its fine woodwork and stained glass.
